Dr. Zhou Tong has more than 17 years of experience in Desalination, Water & Wastewater Industries, as well as research and development (R&D) on membranes in Singapore and the region. Prior to joining UESH, Dr. Zhou was with Hyflux for nine years where he led the membrane R&D and commercialisation team, system design team and project commissioning team. Over the years, he has commissioned several large-scale plants including a membrane bioreactor plant at JWRP, Changi NEWater Plant 2, and a potable water plant at CAWW in Singapore, as well as Souk Tleta 200 MLD Desalination Plant in Algeria. In addition, he has commercialised many membrane products which have been applied in the water industry.

After three years of joining UESH, Dr. Zhou’s portfolio was expanded to the management of business development, tender, human resource, company finances, and later to the overall activities of the Company. Together with the company management team, he was instrumental in creating better prospects and sustainable growth for UESH.

Dr. Zhou holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
